Ram Madhav, BJP  National General Secretary addressed a programme on the eve of Vilay Diwas (Accession Day of J&K with India) organized by Dr. Shyama Prassad Mukherjee Nyas and BJP’s State Liaison Committee, at Jammu Club, Jammu.

Ram Madhav was also accompanied by BJP State President Ravinder Raina, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, former Dy. CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, party State Vice-President Narayan Singh, State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, former MLC Ashok Khajuria and State Spokesperson Adv. Abhinav Sharma, while the proceedings were conducted by H. S. Pammi.

Ram Madhav, greeted the J&K residents as the state celebrates the 1^st Deepawali after the abrogation of controversial Articles 370 & 35 (a). He termed today as the moment, when true dream of Maharaja Hari Singh ji, while signing the “Instrument of Accession” is actualized on ground.

Madhav said that only 1 thing happened on 26^th October 1947 and that is the signing of “Instrument of Accession” by Maharaja Hari Singh ji. Very later, the unwanted birth was given to Article 370 by non-constitutional means and with ultier motives.

Madhav made it absolute clear that the Accession was full and final on the lines of all other states of India. But the decision was later distorted and misrepresented among the masses. He termed decision to abrogate Article 370 as a token in memory of Maharaja Hari Singh ji, Pt. Prem Nath Dogra ji, Dr. Shyama Prasasd Mukherjee, residents of J&K and all those who have suffered due to the imposition of this draconian Article. He said that the Article is not abrogated all of a sudden to take political mileage but a well researched theme for the betterment of common masses.

Madhav, said that the seeds of this ill decision were sown on the June 3^rd Plan in 1947 and were out of box when Pt. Nehru avoided Prime Minister of J&K for 2 days from 23 October’ 1947 upon attack by Pakistan. He told that in the law for “Samvidhan Sabha”, there were 4 members, in which 2 ought to be on nomination of Maharaja and 2 from the last elected “Praja Sabha” in 1946 in state. But under conspiracy those 4 members included the names of Sheikh Abdullah and his personal 3 nominees. Even so more Dr. Ambedkar refused to draft the Act, Congress working committee refused to pass the act even then on the insistence of Pt. Nehru Article was discriminately imposed upon the people.

Hence, now, only the controversial Article imposed non-Constitutionally is removed constitutionally.

Madhav said that in whole of the India, Maharaja Post was finished in 1969 but it was abolished in 1952 in J&K but the Prime Minister of Maharaja was continued just to please Sheikh.

Madhav also questioned that whether the Kashmiriyat is different from Insaniyat, whether it is different from Hindustaaniyat, whether it means to finish the Dogras, if it means to deny rights to SCs, STs, women and other classes. He said that the Kashmiriyat is, where there is respect for all, there is culture of Shankaryacharya to Sufi Saints, there is a place called the heaven on Earth. He accused that the Kashmiriyat word is maligned from time to time with propagation of ill mindset.

Madhav also accused that subsequent government wanted power and luxuries for their families, but denied rights to everyone else. We empowered Panchayats, while they boycotted the polls while going to MP polls to enjoy power for themselves.

Ravinder Raina laid importance on the strategic importance of Jammu & Kashmir and hence subsequent conspiracies of British to retain indirect control over the region. Maharaja Hari Singh ji was the first amongst 560 rulers, who supported the cause of India’s Independence at the Round Table Conference in the House of Lords in London in 1931, hence earned the wrath of British and an unsavoury saga of conspiracies unfolded against him upon his return to the state. Friendship of former PM Nehru and Sheikh proved hazardous for Maharaja as well as for the whole of J&K, he said.

Raina, said that on 22 October, 1947 Pakistan’s regular Army led full fledged attack on J&K, but named it as act of raiders and subsequent ill decisions by Pt. Nehru led to the formation of PoJK. He said that time and again it has been established that Accession of J&K is full and final and any topic to discuss with Pakistan is of PoJK only.

Abhinav Sharma laid the facts of all legal aspects involved in the whole “Instrument of Accession” and subsequent complete unification of whole J&K state into the dominion of India with the signing and acceptance of Accession document on 26^th and 27^th of October’ 1947. He explained how the injustice has been served upon the people of J&K due to the restrictions imposed by the Article 370, while emphaising that a new channel of development is opened with the abrogation of Articles along with the removal of “2^nd Class citizens of the state” tag.

Ashok Khajuria and Narayan Singh thanked all the dignitaries for participating in the event.
